The accountant is responsible for performing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS), tax regulations. The role supports financial reporting, audits, and operational teams to ensure effective financial control within the institution.
Key Responsibilities

Record all financial transactions in the accounting system

Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers

Perform ongoing bank reconciliations

Participate in monthly closing activities in line with internal deadlines.

Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax filings on ETA systems (e-invoicing, e-receipt where applicable)

Review supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance.

Prepare payment requests and ensure proper authorization.

Maintain fixed asset register and calculate monthly depreciation , assist in periodical physical counts.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving findings.

Ensure proper documentation, filing, and archiving of all financial records.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

1–3+ years
of experience (depending on seniority) —
preferably in NBFIs (Micro Finance, leasing, mortgage finance ..etc.)

Strong knowledge of:
-
Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS)

Tax regulations and ETA systems
-
FRA reporting requirements (preferred)

Proficiency in ERP or accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar).

Strong Excel skills (lookup functions, “if” function , basic data analysis ..ect).

Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
