Accountant

Overview

PENNEP seeks an Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial transactions and banking activities. The ideal candidate will manage basic bookkeeping tasks, and daily expenses, ensure accurate financial records, and coordinate with banks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage general ledger accounts.
• Perform bookkeeping duties, including recording daily financial transactions.
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Analyse financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insight.

Required Skills and Experience

• 6 months to 1 year of experience required in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Strong knowledge of ledger accounts, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
