Overview
Master-Works is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and fund management to ensure accurate cash positioning.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures to safeguard assets.
- Assist with the annual budget preparation and forecasting process.
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and answers to auditor inquiries.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a corporate finance environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
