Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Tally and other accounting software, have strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, and possess a valid UAE driving license. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with UAE laws, and supporting management with accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Record daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Handle VAT accounting, VAT returns, and ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer ledgers
• Process invoices, payments, petty cash, and expense claims
• Assist in audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and company policies
• Maintain proper filing of financial records (physical and digital)
• Coordinate with management on budgeting, cost control, and cash flow monitoring
• Liaise with banks, suppliers, and relevant authorities when required

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE
• Proficiency in Tally (mandatory); experience with other accounting software is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance
• Valid UAE driving license (mandatory)
• Good understanding of UAE commercial and financial practices
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Immediate or short notice availability
• Experience in SME / trading / contracting / service industry (preferred)
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED5,000.00 per month
