Role Overview

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting functions, supporting financial analysis, and maintaining accurate financial documentation while delivering high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage general ledger activities and account reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports
• Prepare and file tax returns and ensure tax compliance
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and statutory regulations
• Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
• Monitor financial transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
• Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs
• Prepare tax documents
• Compile and analyze financial statements
• Manage budgeting and forecasting

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred)
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• Exposure to tax preparation and statutory compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero or similar)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication and organizational skills
