The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and skilled full-time accountant to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from daily bookkeeping to financial reporting and tax compliance, ensuring the financial health of the company. Experience in the logistics or transport sector is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and counsel; cost accounting; inventory accounting; and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support period-end and year-end closing processes.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Requirements (Must-Have)

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field (a master's or CA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualification is a plus).
• Experience: 3+ years of proven working experience as an accountant, preferably within the logistics, freight, or transport industry.
• Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP/IFRS).
• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
