Description:

This position is responsible for assisting the Corporate Controller and the Assistant Controller with the financial affairs of the organization and with preparation of financial analyses of operations, including interim and financial statements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist with Accounts payable functions to include the entry of invoices, processing AP payments, including ACH & bank drafts

Maintain accurate accounts payable records, including outstanding payables and credits

Reconcile multiple bank accounts for Greenwood Communities & Resorts and Greenwood Development

Prepare and record journal entries

Prepare general ledger reconciliations

Assist with the review of property taxes for all companies.

Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation

Assist with annual audit preparation

Provides back-up support for fixed assets entry & maintenance

Provides back-up support for Accounts Receivable functions
-
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS

2 years of experience in corporate accounting

Technical knowledge of Tax, GAAP and Cost Accounting

Experience with Great Plains, Micros and Yellow Dog a plus

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Superior computer skills

Ability to travel on a quarterly basis required
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree in Accounting strongly preferred
