We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Accountant who’s ready to dive into the exciting, high-volume world of perishable goods distribution. If you love solving puzzles, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want your work to directly support operations that keep fresh food moving from farm to table, this is your spot.
Own the accuracy of our financial heartbeat: Prepare and post general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and keep everything balanced in a fast-moving environment.
Drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely, spot-on financial closes that power smart business decisions.
Craft internal financial statements and insightful management reports that help leadership see the big picture.
Handle accounts payable/receivable transactions with precision, chasing down discrepancies like a detective to keep cash flowing smoothly.
Master inventory in motion: Track movements, shrink, adjustments, and reconcile between accounting systems and warehouse reality, critical when every day counts against spoilage.
Dig into product costing: Analyze freight, packaging, handling, and margins to uncover opportunities that protect profitability in a competitive industry.
Collaborate cross-functionally, partner with operations, procurement, and logistics teams to validate purchasing, sales, and pricing data that keeps us competitive.
Support audits by organizing documentation like a pro and ensure full compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
Bring fresh ideas: Spot process improvements in workflows and deliver ad hoc analyses that help the Controller and leadership make bold moves.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
2–5 years of accounting experience - bonus points if you’ve worked in distribution, food & beverage, or produce (we know the perishables world is unique!).
Excel wizard + ERP power user (you live in spreadsheets and systems like most people live in apps).
Solid grasp of inventory accounting, cost tracking, and reconciliation; perishables add urgency, and you handle it with calm confidence.
Proactive problem-solver who enjoys partnering across teams and turning data into actionable insights.
Comfortable in a dynamic setting: Frequent sitting/standing/walking, occasional exposure to warehouse elements or weather, and flexibility for nights/weekends when business demands it (we move fresh product around the clock!).
Ready to bring your financial expertise to a company that’s all about flavor, freshness, and forward momentum? Apply today and help us keep Ohio tasting great one accurate entry at a time!
