Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial health. Duties
- Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
- Conduct detailed account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Support governmental and non-profit accounting functions by adhering to specific regulatory requirements and preparing necessary reports.
- Utilize various financial software including QuickBooks.
- Use manufacturing ERP system E2 to generate purchase orders.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze financial data effectively while demonstrating strong math skills and financial acumen.
- Experience in public accounting or non-profit accounting is a plus; familiarity with tax processes is advantageous. Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
