Job responsibilities for Accountant

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and banking
• Perform daily bank reconciliation in SAP and ensure accuracy at all times
• Handle full accounts receivable cycle and ensure timely collection of all dues
• Prepare and circulate customer SOAs and aggressively follow up on overdue payments
• Ensure strict adherence to approved credit terms – no unauthorized exposure
• Process and release vendor payments as per agreed terms after proper verification
• Verify all supplier invoices against job costing before payment
• Ensure timely invoicing of all jobs without delay
• Monitor and control job closing in SAP with complete cost and revenue capture
• Review job profitability and highlight low or negative margin shipments
• Pass all required journal entries for monthly closing
• Assist in monthly and annual accounts finalization
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns via FTA portal within deadlines
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and audit requirements
• Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready records at all times
• Manage and control petty cash with full supporting documentation
• Prepare basic MIS reports (AR aging, AP aging, job profitability, cash flow)
• Coordinate closely with operations and sales for invoicing and collections
• Enforce internal controls and report any discrepancies immediately
• Maintain accuracy and discipline in SAP B1 entries and records
• Use Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for reporting and analysis
• Work closely with management on financial and operational matters
• Ensure high accountability, accuracy, and strict adherence to deadlines
• Age – Below 40

Minimum Qualification: B. Com/M. Com

Experience: 3 Years working experience with Shipping and Freight Forwarding companies in UAE.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
