Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of our growing company. This role requires a hands-on individual who can oversee day-to-day accounting, manage client-related transactions, and ensure compliance with UAE regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, and receivable
• Maintain accurate financial records for company and client-related transactions
• Handle invoicing, collections, and tracking of service fees and disbursements
• Monitor and reconcile client accounts (including client funds, where applicable)
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare tax filings
• Track project-related expenses and allocate costs appropriately
• Manage payroll and staff expense reimbursements
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and financial planning
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
• Implement and improve internal financial controls and processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of accounting experience (professional services or SME experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and UAE VAT laws
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero)
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent)
• Experience handling client accounts or segregated funds
