Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our logistics and shipping company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, monitoring transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or supply chain operations will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and vendor accounts.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and financial statements.
• Assist with payroll processing and statutory deductions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, VAT, customs duties, and other financial obligations.
• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams regarding shipping costs, freight charges, and billing.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve accounting procedures.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
