Job Description – Accountant

Objective

To maintain accurate and complete financial records and support the company’s financial reporting and compliance requirements.

Skills & Competencies

  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good English communication skills
  • Experience handling accounts up to finalization
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and issue invoices on time
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and support collections
  • Maintain AR aging and records

Accounts Payable

  • Record and monitor company expenses
  • Process supplier payments and prepare cheques
  • Maintain AP aging and payment records

Cash & Bank

  • Manage petty cash and reimbursements
  • Ensure collections are deposited
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation

Payroll

  • Prepare monthly payroll and payslips
  • Handle employee final settlements and accruals

VAT & Reporting

  • Prepare and file VAT returns
  • Assist in month-end closing and financial reports

General Duties

  • Maintain asset records and depreciation
  • Coordinate with internal teams for invoicing and records
  • Support audit requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
