We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting transactions, maintain financial records, handle tax-related matters, and support the company’s financial operations locally and abroad.

Role Overview

As an Accountant at NXT Global Technologies, you will be responsible for managing the company’s daily accounting activities, financial documentation, tax filings, asset records, and compliance requirements. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, IFRS, Pakistani tax regulations, and familiarity with American tax laws.

The ideal candidate should be organized, analytical, trustworthy, and capable of handling company accounts, assets, and tax matters with accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including payments, receipts, invoices, expenses, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for all company operations in Pakistan and abroad.
  • Prepare, review, and update ledgers, journals, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Manage company assets located in Pakistan and international regions, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
  • Handle bank reconciliations, vendor payments, client billing, and expense management.
  • Ensure all accounting entries are accurate, complete, and properly documented.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for company operations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable accounting standards.
  • Support management in financial decision-making through accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Manage company tax filing and ensure timely submission of tax returns.
  • Handle employee income tax calculations, deductions, and filing with FBR.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities when required.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits, compliance checks, and internal reviews.
  • Stay updated with Pakistani tax laws, FBR requirements, IFRS updates, and relevant American tax regulations.
  • Identify financial risks, reporting errors, and compliance gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all financial and employee tax-related information.

RequirementsEducation

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • ACCA, CA, CA Inter, CPA, CMA, or similar professional qualification will be strongly preferred.

Experience

  • Relevant experience in accounting, finance, taxation, or corporate accounts will be preferred.
  • Experience with company tax filing, employee income tax, and FBR compliance will be a strong advantage.
  • Experience working with international accounts or global business operations will be preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of IFRS is required.
  • Familiarity with American tax laws is required.
  • Strong understanding of Pakistani tax laws, FBR filings, and employee income tax matters.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day accounting transactions independently.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, ledgers, invoicing, and financial documentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential financial information professionally.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting software.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and growing business environment.
