Accountant
Position Overview
The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, VAT compliance, and supporting audit requirements in line with UAE regulations. The role involves handling General Ledger, Accounts Payable & Receivable, bank reconciliations, invoice verification, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

Verification & Confirmation Sales Invoices

Verification of Office and Other Expenses
-
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Perform bank reconciliations.
2. VAT & UAE Compliance

Ensure compliance with
Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
regulations
-
Prepare and file VAT returns as per
UAE VAT Law
-
Handle input/output VAT, reverse charge mechanism, and zero-rated exports
-
Maintain proper VAT documentation for audits
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

Process supplier invoices and schedule payments
-
Follow up on customer collections and manage aging reports

Monitor credit limits and customer exposure
4. Audit & Compliance

Prepare schedules for internal and external audits

Ensure proper documentation and audit trail

Support statutory compliance as per UAE commercial laws
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

3–6 years of experience in UAE (preferably in trading/commodity sector)

Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and compliance requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA)

Experience in metal or commodity trading companies

Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade practices
