RS Diamonds is a leading diamond trading and jewelry company based in Dubai, with operations spanning rough diamonds, polished diamonds, jewelry manufacturing, and bullion trading. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts using Tally and other accounting software.
- Manage daily accounting entries, journal vouchers, and ledger reconciliations.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and ensure full VAT compliance.
- Support Corporate Tax compliance and reporting requirements.
- Maintain records and documentation for audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Prepare management reports, financial statements, cash flow reports, and MIS reports.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Reconcile inventory, stock movements, and high-value transactions.
- Handle supplier payments, customer receipts, and banking transactions.
- Monitor company cash balances and liquidity positions.
- Ensure compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations, KYC procedures, and internal controls.
- Assist in preparation of audit schedules, financial reports, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of imports, exports, customs documentation, and international transactions.
- Coordinate with banks regarding transfers, trade finance facilities, guarantees, and account operations.
- Track and reconcile bullion, diamond, and jewelry inventory from a financial perspective.
- Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of Tally ERP and Microsoft Excel.
- Thorough understanding of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of AML regulations and KYC procedures.
- Experience handling audit preparation and external auditor coordination.
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, financial controls, and cash management.
- Experience with inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Diamond, Jewelry, Precious Metals, Bullion, Trading, or Luxury Goods industry.
- Knowledge of DMCC regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with import/export accounting and international trade documentation.
- Experience working with high-value inventory and transactions.
