For our transportation department, office in Jeddah (Alsuwat Group) We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support our financial operations and ensure accurate accounting records, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, customer accounts, and supplier statements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with Saudi tax regulations.
  • Process payroll and maintain payroll-related records in coordination with the HR department.
  • Verify invoices, expense reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor customer collections and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities when required.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Track and analyze transportation-related costs, including fuel, maintenance, tolls, driver expenses, and fleet operating costs.
  • Support management by providing financial analysis, profitability reports, and operational cost reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting procedures.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for cost control and operational efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within logistics, transportation, or fleet operations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience with VAT compliance and Saudi tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bilingual (Arabic & English) preferred.
