Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Maintain general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and accounting records.
- Prepare journal vouchers, payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, and adjustment entries.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Accounts Payable
- Verify supplier invoices and supporting documents.
- Process payments to vendors and service providers.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding payables and payment schedules.
Accounts Receivable
- Monitor customer receivables and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Prepare customer account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate records of collections and receivables aging.
Bank and Cash Management
- Prepare bank reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Monitor cash balances and cash transactions.
- Verify petty cash records and reimbursements.
- Coordinate with banks regarding routine banking matters.
Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support preparation of management reports and financial analysis.
- Provide required financial information to management as requested.
Taxation and Compliance
- Assist in preparation and submission of sales tax, income tax, and withholding tax records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Maintain records required for statutory and regulatory audits.
Budgeting and Cost Control
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Track departmental expenses against approved budgets.
- Support cost control initiatives and financial analysis.
Audit Support
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Provide required documents and information during audits.
- Assist in implementing audit recommendations.
ERP and System Management
- Maintain accurate accounting data in ERP/accounting software.
- Ensure timely posting of financial transactions.
- Generate reports from the accounting system as required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy of accounting records.
- Timely completion of month-end closing.
- Accuracy of bank reconciliations.
- Timely processing of payments.
- Compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
- Reduction in outstanding receivables.
- Audit observations and corrective actions.
- Accuracy and timeliness of management reports.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent.
- ACCA, CA (Inter), CMA, or relevant professional qualification will be preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Accounts and Finance.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

- Verify accounting documents and supporting records.
