Job Title: Account Manager III

Job Summary:

Valiant Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Account Manager III to join our growing finance team. The Account Manager III (may also be referred to as account manager) will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support the companies and clients financial health. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as work independently. This role will also include being a back up for payroll if required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Review lower-level Account Managers accounts and report to CPA any errors or additional findings.
  • General Ledger Maintenance:
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and collections to ensure timely and accurate transactions and manage cash flow effectively.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget, conducting variance analysis, and providing actionable financial insights to management.
  • Compliance and Tax Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and assist in preparing tax filings, including sales tax, and other required filings.
  • Review, acknowledge and implement SOP’s
  • Internal Controls:
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal control processes to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Staff training and coaching:
  • Train fellow staff members and serve as first point of contact for lower level Account Managers to field questions.
  • Monitor and report to CPA on improvements made or still needed during training period of new staff members.
  • Audit Support:
  • Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audit processes.
  • Review audit with CPA and complete the process as necessary.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting and financial processes and lead the implementation of enhancements.
  • Draft, edit and manage SOPs as assigned.
  • Ad-hoc Reporting:
  • Generate financial analyses and reports as requested by management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Additional tasks as assigned:
  • Within the scope of your position within the company additional work tasks not outlined in the job description may be assigned with the expectation of completing the tasks in a timely manner according to priority set by management.

  • Be proactive in finding solutions to challenges or unexpected issues.
  • Reliability:
  • Consistently meet deadlines and follow through on assigned responsibilities.
  • Be available during peak periods, such as tax season, for extended hours if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred or; 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • PTIN number or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, TaxDome, Gusto) and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and performing reconciliations.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,656.00 - $65,000.00 per year
