Job Description:
As part of our healthcare platform, MCR owns and operates outpatient medical facilities, including a pain management clinic and ambulatory surgery center. The Accounting and Financial Operations role will support the day-to-day financial and AR/AP of these two facilities.
This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal systems, and supporting budgeting, vendor management, and operational reporting.
This position works closely with internal leadership, clinical operators, and third-party vendors to ensure timely and accurate financial information, while supporting the unique needs of a healthcare operating business.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for the clinic and surgery center
· Prepare and support recurring financial reporting, including performance tracking for healthcare operations
· Maintain and monitor outstanding accounts receivable, including reporting on aging balances and allocating collections across entities Assist with internal time tracking and coordination across administrative and clinical support functions
· Review payroll for accuracy, including coordination with third-party providers and internal staff
· Respond to ad hoc financial reporting and analysis requests from leadership
· Process and manage vendor applications, including coordination with medical and facility vendors
· Generate recurring and custom financial, operational, and KPI reports
· Assist with budget updates and modifications based on operational needs and performance trends
· Support Monthly Operating Report (MOR) preparation and review
· Participate in annual and periodic budget preparation processes, including coordination with clinical leadership
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable operating in both a financial and healthcare environment. This individual should have strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple workflows while supporting both corporate and clinical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
· Experience in accounting, finance, or healthcare operations preferred
· Familiarity with medical practice or ambulatory surgery center operations is a plus
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial reporting tools and QuickBooks
· Working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and their application in a multi-entity environment
· Understanding of accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting processes
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Employment Type:
· This position will be a 1099 contract position with an estimated 25 hours per week.
· Part-time on-site presence at our Phoenix office preferred; schedule to be coordinated with leadership.
Pay: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour
