Accountant - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

The Business

We are a global industry leader in providing temporary temperature and humidity control solutions to an array of industries such as construction, industrial, and water damage restoration.

Accounting Operations Support

· Maintain and update the general ledger with daily financial transactions.

· Conduct periodic reviews of receipts, invoices, and supporting documents of transactions.

Bank and Account Reconciliation

· Reconcile bank and credit card statements with the general ledger.

· Identify and resolve discrepancies between records and statements.

· Ensure all accounts are balanced and accurate for month-end and year-end closings.

Accounts Payable and Receivable

· Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and schedule payments.

· Generate and send customer invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.

· Record payments and update customer and vendor accounts accordingly.

· Assist AP Team with 1099s completion and miscellaneous tasks.

Payroll Support

· Assist in processing payroll by maintaining accurate employee records.

· Record payroll transactions, including taxes and benefits.

· Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and deadlines.

Financial Reporting

· Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

· Generate reports on budgets, spending, and financial trends for management review.

· Support tax preparation by providing accurate financial records to accountants.

Compliance and Documentation

· Ensure financial records comply with company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations.

· Maintain confidentiality of all financial and business information.

· Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits.

Investments

· Manage investment portfolio for company owners.

Process Improvement

· Identify opportunities to streamline bookkeeping processes.

· Implement software tools or systems to enhance efficiency.

· Stay updated on industry best practices and accounting regulations.

Required Qualifications

· Accounting degree required. Experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate and are open to someone just starting their career who is ready to learn, work hard, and grow with the company.

· Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

· Bilingual – English/Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with ERP systems or advanced accounting software.

· Knowledge of tax regulations and payroll processes.

· State sales tax audit experience.

• Demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

· This position requires full-time, on-site presence; remote work is not an option for this role.
