Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our financial team. This vital role involves managing day-to-day bookkeeping operations, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, proficiency with various accounting software, and a passion for maintaining precise financial data. Duties
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance using software such as QuickBooks.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all account balances through detailed review of transactions
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
- Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Conduct payroll processing, including tax calculations and reporting, utilizing relevant financial software tools
- Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control initiatives to support organizational goals
- Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and internal policies
- Manage multiple accounts effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience in corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, or public accounting environments
- Proficiency with accounting software, specifically QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of GAAP standards and double-entry bookkeeping methods
- Experience with bank reconciliation, account analysis, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis accurately
- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts, including account reconciliation and financial report writing
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain financial concepts and reports
- Some knowledge of the Music Business Industry as it relates to advances, recoupables, and royalties.
Pay: $30.00 per hour
