Accountant / Bookkeeper/Inventory control

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper / Inventory Control specialist to join our team. This multifaceted role combines core accounting responsibilities with inventory management and bookkeeping tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and effective inventory oversight. Duties

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks on-line to ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.
  • Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
  • Conduct inventory control procedures by tracking stock levels, reconciling inventory records, and coordinating with procurement teams to optimize stock management.
  • Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance reporting for governmental agencies.
  • Generate detailed financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses to support management decision-making.
  • Support budget preparation and variance analysis to facilitate strategic planning.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies while maintaining accurate financial documentation.

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken or similar platforms; experience with multiple systems is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles as well as non-profit accounting practices if applicable.
  • Knowledge of GAAP standards for accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Expertise in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and double-entry bookkeeping methods.
  • Ability to prepare journal entries and perform account analysis with precision.
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting requirements and tax regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent skills in financial report writing, budgeting, and financial concepts comprehension.
  • Experience managing accounts payable/receivable processes along with payroll administration.
  • Strong attention to detail in 10 key typing tasks and data entry accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and preparing clear financial documentation. Pay: $46,526.70 - $56,032.16 per year
