Orchard Alliance, a subsidiary of The Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination, is seeking a full-time Accountant. We are a nonprofit financial stewardship ministry that provides churches, individuals, families, and other like-minded organizations with a wide range of products and services. This position focuses on nonprofit and fiduciary accounting, common in trusts and investment funds.

Primary Duties

· Performing fiduciary and nonprofit accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and daily transaction processing for contributions, distributions, investments, and banking activity

· Ensuring accurate records and performance reporting for trusts, endowments, and institutional investment accounts held for others

· Processing donor security gifts and preparing related receipting, entries, and reconciliations

· Supporting loans receivable and securities payable accounting, including collaboration with leadership on complex transactions

· Managing general accounting tasks such as accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and audit support schedules

· Processing daily banking activity, including deposits, ACHs, wires, and transfers, and supporting cash management activities

· Researching and resolving account questions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Experience

· 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferred

· Experience with banking, non-profit accounting, and accounting programs preferred

· Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred
