Accountant – Construction Mandatory

Job Description:
Abu Alnaga Contracting L.L.C is hiring a highly experienced Accountant with a strong background in the construction or contracting industry in Dubai. The candidate will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, project cost control, and ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations, including VAT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Oversee job costing and track project budgets, costs, and profitability for multiple active construction projects
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Process AIA billing / progress billing and manage subcontractor payments and lien waivers
• Monitor and manage WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules and over/under billing reports
• Assist with payroll processing, including certified payroll for prevailing wage projects where applicable
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, construction contracts, and internal financial controls
• Collaborate with project managers to forecast costs and track change orders
• Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
• Maintain and improve accounting procedures specific to construction operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a construction or contracting company in Dubai.
• Deep knowledge of UAE VAT laws and project-based accounting systems.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
• Fluent in English.
• Immediate joiners will be given preference.
