We are seeking a skilled Junior Level Accountant - Arabic native who speaks English fluently plus Saudi Arabia experience is mandatory for 2 yrs minimum. The candidate will be responsible for project accounting, cost tracking, and ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day accounting for Saudi projects, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and cost allocations across multiple project sites
- Prepare job costing reports, WIP (Work-in-Progress), and profitability analysis per project
- Ensure VAT compliance and prepare filings in line with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA)
- Manage subcontractor payments, retention accounting, and contract-based billing
- Handle intercompany transactions between UAE HQ and Saudi branch
- Prepare monthly financial statements and project performance reports
- Support external audits and coordinate with tax consultants
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), especially for construction revenue recognition.
- Assist with Saudi e-invoicing and documentation requirements
- Monitor cash flow related to project milestones and client payments
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of accounting experience in the construction or contracting industry
- Strong knowledge of job costing, project accounting, and contract accounting
- Familiarity with Saudi VAT regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or construction-specific software)
- Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
