Job Summary
ABTech is hiring an Accountant to support financial reporting, general ledger accounting, cash flow management, and payroll in a manufacturing environment. This role works closely with leadership, production, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial data and support business decision-making.
This is a great opportunity for a detail oriented individual experienced in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing finance.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries
- Perform monthly close and prepare financial statements
- Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR)
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, including cash flow and aging reports
Cash Flow & Budgeting
- Maintain a 12-week cash flow forecast and report financial risks
- Support budgeting and forecasting with leadership
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve performance
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting Support
- Assist with inventory accounting, WIP (work-in-progress), and job costing
- Partner with production to reconcile discrepancies and improve accuracy
- Support process improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Coordinate with external CPA for tax preparation and year-end reporting
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
HR & Administrative Support
- Maintain employee records and support benefits administration
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding documentation
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3+ years of experience in accounting (manufacturing preferred)
- Experience with general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, or job costing
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Understanding of GAAP principles
