Accounting duties
- Financial record keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping and general ledger entries.
- Accounts payable/receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and handle billing and collections.
- Payroll: Process payroll accurately, manage employee records, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Bank reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and monitor daily banking transactions.
- Financial reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, expense reports, and cash flow summaries.
- Audits: Assist with annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Taxation: Ensure timely filing of taxes and compliance with tax regulations.
Administrative duties
- Office management: Source office supplies, manage vendor coordination, and handle general office maintenance.
- Correspondence: Screen and direct phone calls and manage incoming and outgoing mail and emails.
- Scheduling: Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and make travel arrangements.
- Record keeping: Maintain and organize both physical and digital office documentation and filing systems.
- General support: Provide administrative support to management and other staff as needed.
Required skills and qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in both administrative and accounting roles.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Organizational skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail: High accuracy and attention to detail are crucial for financial tasks.
- Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
