Job Summary
Signature Creations Interiors is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Accountant cum Procurement Officer to manage our financial operations and oversee procurement for interior fit-out and turnkey project requirements. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, and timely sourcing of materials, suppliers, and subcontractors essential for delivering premium interior solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Manage daily accounting operations including payables, receivables, petty cash, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheets, and project-wise cost reports.
- Track project budgets, monitor cash flow, and ensure proper allocation of costs to each project.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and maintain accurate documentation for audits.
- Coordinate with auditors and management for financial reviews.
- Process staff payroll, WPS, supplier payments, and subcontractor settlements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support management with financial insights.
Procurement & Material Management
- Oversee the entire procurement cycle for interior fitout materials such as gypsum, lighting, electrical fittings, HVAC items, sanitary ware, joinery materials, furniture etc.
- Source and evaluate new suppliers, negotiate pricing, quality, and payment terms.
- Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure materials arrive as per project timelines.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and develop a reliable supplier network.
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, and site teams to understand material requirements and ensure timely procurement.
- Monitor inventory, stock levels, and store records.
- Review material submittals, samples, and technical compliance with project specifications.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and project-based cost control.
- Knowledge of interior fit-out materials, suppliers, and market pricing in the UAE.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP).
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to multitask across finance and procurement functions.
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting and procurement—preferably in interior fit-out or construction companies in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, invoicing, and compliance processes.
- Valid UAE experience and familiarity with project-based costing.
- Certifications such as CMA, CPA, or CIPS are an advantage.
