About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant who has strong experience in e-commerce sales accounting, excellent command over Excel, and hands-on expertise in Tally. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate books, reconcile marketplace reports, and support the finance team with monthly financial statements.

Key Responsibilities E-commerce Accounting

  • Manage daily sales, returns, commissions, and payout reconciliation across platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Shopify, etc.).
  • Track and validate marketplace fee charges, GST reports, and settlement summaries.
  • Prepare monthly sales MIS and profitability statements.
  • Coordinate with marketplaces for raising disputes on incorrect charges.

General Accounting

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally ERP.
  • Handle vendor invoices, purchase entries, expenses, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit notes, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Assist with month-end closure and financial reporting.

Excel & Data Management

  • Build and maintain Excel trackers for sales, inventory, and expenses.
  • Use advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF statements, data cleaning, etc.) for daily reporting.
  • Generate weekly and monthly MIS dashboards for management.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Assist in GST working: input reconciliation, outward summary, and return support.
  • Maintain documentation for audits, internal reviews, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of financial tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent).
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
  • High proficiency in Excel (must).
  • Understanding of GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of inventory accounting and costing.
  • Prior experience in reconciliation of marketplace payouts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
