Position-Accountant for E-commerce accounting

Key responsibilities

• End-to-end reconciliation: Manage the full reconciliation process for payments from e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, and others.
• Report analysis: Download, analyse, and reconcile platform-specific reports, including sales, payment, and settlement data, against internal records and bank statements.
• Discrepancy resolution: Investigate and resolve payment mismatches, short or excess payments, chargebacks, and other discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams and the marketplaces.
• Financial record maintenance: Ensure accurate financial data entry and maintain reconciliation sheets, dashboards, and documentation in accounting software like Tally.
• Deduction verification: Verify all deductions, including commissions, courier charges, TCS, and penalties, against platform policies and contracts.
• Reporting: Prepare and present weekly or monthly management information (MIS), profit and loss (P&L) statements, and margin analysis reports.
• Process improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the reconciliation process.

Required skills and qualifications

• Experience with e-commerce platforms and accounting for them.
• Strong understanding of accounting and reconciliation principles.
• Proficiency in using accounting software like Tally and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
