Accountant – FMCG Distribution

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a strong background in FMCG distribution. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting functions, monitor receivables and payables, and ensure accurate financial reporting while supporting operational and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage daily accounting operations including journal entries, invoicing, and reconciliations

* Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)

* Monitor customer collections and coordinate with the sales team on outstanding balances

* Reconcile supplier statements and manage payment schedules

* Oversee inventory accounting and stock reconciliation in coordination with warehouse operations

* Process LPOs, GRNs, credit notes, and debit notes

* Prepare monthly financial reports, P&L statements, and cash flow reports

* Assist in budgeting and forecasting

* Ensure VAT compliance and proper documentation as per Qatar regulations

* Coordinate with auditors for annual audits

* Maintain accurate records in ERP/accounting systems

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

* Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience in FMCG distribution or trading companies

* Strong understanding of inventory accounting and high-volume transactions

* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, Odoo, or similar)

* Knowledge of Qatar VAT regulations

* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
