Gym Accountant / Accounts Executive – Fitness Center
Job Summary
The Gym Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records of the gym, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, monitoring revenue from memberships and services, handling expenses, and supporting management with financial reports and compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management
- Maintain daily accounting records (cash, bank, online payments)
- Record membership fees, personal training charges, and other income
- Track expenses such as rent, utilities, equipment, salaries, and maintenance
Billing & Revenue Control
- Manage member billing, renewals, and outstanding dues
- Reconcile POS, online payments, and cash collections
- Monitor discounts, offers, and promotional pricing
Payroll & Staff Payments
- Process payroll for trainers, staff, and part-time instructors
- Calculate incentives, commissions, and attendance-based payments
- Manage statutory deductions (if applicable)
Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and file GST/VAT returns
- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly profit & loss statements
- Generate cash flow and budget reports
- Analyze revenue trends and cost control opportunities
Inventory & Asset Management
- Track gym equipment purchases and depreciation
- Maintain inventory records for supplements and merchandise
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, etc.)
- Understanding of service-industry accounting
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Experience
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (experience in gyms, clubs, or service businesses preferred)
Working Environment
- Office-based role within gym premises
- Coordination with front-desk staff, trainers, and management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
