Accountant for Restaurant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Restaurant team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements according to daily sales and transactions.
• Conduct account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Perform financial report writing and interpretation to provide insights into financial performance.
• Execute journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and maintain detailed records of all transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct auditing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.

Experience

• Proven experience as anAccountant in restaurant field.
• Familiarity with restaurant financial operations.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, zoho etc.
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts including accrual accounting, financial management, and regulatory reporting.
• Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, account analysis, payroll processing, and tax experience is advantageous.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
