Accountant - Gold & Diamond Jewelry

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant with a strong background in the Gold & Diamond / Jewelry industry within the UAE. The ideal candidate must be familiar with local regulations, VAT compliance, and industry-specific inventory and costing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end accounting functions (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger)
• Gold purchase & payment entries ( 22k, 18k & 24k)
• Maintain accurate accounting records for gold, diamonds, and jewelry inventory
• Perform stock reconciliation (physical vs system) on a regular basis
• Handle gold rate fluctuations, bullion transactions, and costing adjustments
• Ensure proper valuation based on gold purity (karat) and diamond grading
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations (FTA requirements)
• Assist with VAT filing and documentation
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes
• Maintain proper documentation for suppliers, imports, and local purchases

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in the Gold & Diamond / Jewelry industry (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of gold pricing, karat calculations, and diamond valuation
• Familiarity with UAE VAT laws and filing procedures
• Experience with accounting systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in bullion trading or jewelry manufacturing
• Knowledge of UAE compliance standards and audit requirements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail or wholesale environment
