Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant / HR professional to join our dynamic team. This role combines core accounting responsibilities with human resources functions, providing vital support to our financial operations and personnel management. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of corporate and non-profit accounting practices, along with HR procedures, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all areas. Duties
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities including general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Acumatica, NetSuite, and others.
- Own month end close and produce P&L, balance sheet, cash flow reports and other reports as needed.
- Support development of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with leadership.
- Perform accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections while maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify account accuracy and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and tax filings.
- Maintain detailed records of financial transactions, supporting audit processes and compliance requirements.
- Support human resources functions such as employee onboarding, benefits administration, record keeping, and compliance with employment laws.
- Assist in budgeting processes by analyzing expenses and preparing financial forecasts.
- Handle tax-related tasks by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring timely submissions.
- Utilize technical accounting skills to analyze accounts, perform account analysis, and improve bookkeeping procedures.
- Support organizational initiatives related to financial software upgrades or process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in accounting/finance and human resources management.
- Experience managing multiple entities a plus
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial regulations, and labor laws applicable in the United States.
- Proficiency with accounting software and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
