SourceOne Corp is seeking a skilled, hands-on Accountant to take ownership of our day-to-day financial operations and period-end closing processes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a full-cycle accounting environment—from managing AP/AR to closing the books and preparing year-end packages.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and a proven track record of maintaining flawless financial records.
Proficient, direct experience with QuickBooks is strictly required and non-negotiable. Candidates without hands-on QuickBooks experience will not be considered, regardless of other qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Accounting & Book Closing
- Lead Monthly & Quarterly Close: Manage the close-checklist, prepare and post journal entries, calculate accruals, and perform comprehensive reconciliations.
- Financial Maintenance: Handle accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP), execute bank reconciliations, and process journal entry adjustments to maintain a balanced trial balance.
- Fixed Assets: Maintain accurate fixed asset schedules and calculate depreciation.
Analysis & Compliance
- Data Integrity: Conduct deep-dive account analysis to ensure the absolute accuracy of all financial records.
- Tax Coordination: Partner with external tax CPAs to provide quarterly estimates and comprehensive year-end financial packages.
- Record Keeping: Maintain thorough, highly organized, and audit-ready financial documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Software Expertise: Strong, verifiable proficiency in QuickBooks (Required) and the MS Office Suite (with advanced Excel skills).
- Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail and a sharp ability to analyze complex financial data.
- Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict monthly deadlines independently.
- Experience: Proven experience in a hands-on accounting role handling full-cycle book closing.
