Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Finance:
- Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting records.
- Handle accounts payable/receivable and daily cash flow.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and ledgers.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on payments.
2. Jewellery-Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage gold, diamond, and gemstone stock entries and adjustments.
- Track purity, weight, and wastage for gold and other precious metals.
- Record labour charges, making charges, and repair costs.
- Coordinate with stores for stock audits and inventory verification.
3. VAT & Compliance:
- Prepare VAT reports and ensure timely filing.
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain documentation for audits.
4. Internal Coordination:
- Work closely with purchasing, sales, and store teams.
- Support management with data for decision-making.
- Assist in preparing MIS reports as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in the jewellery industry (gold/diamond).
- Strong knowledge of stock management for jewellery.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Good understanding of VAT rules in UAE.
- Attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of jewellery purity, weight calculations, and wastage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
