Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant Lead to manage payroll, oversee accounts payable operations, and perform daily cash and bank reconciliations. This role ensures financial accuracy and timely reporting by maintaining reconciled cash positions, supporting assed and debt schedules, and supervising AP staff performance, particularly during month-end and year-end close.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll & Cash Management

• Accurately process and manage payroll on schedule.
• Perform daily bank reads and cash reconciliations to ensure real-time cash accuracy.
• Reconcile multiple bank accounts monthly as needed.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly while maintaining strong audit trails.

Accounts Payable Leadership

• Oversee Accounts Payable operations to ensure timely, accurate processing and vendor compliance.
• Supervise AP team members, monitor performance, and ensure KPIs and deadlines are met.
• Ensure accuracy and readiness for year-end close metrics and deliverables.

Accounting Support & Schedules

• Maintain and update schedules for assets, debt, interest and depreciation.
• Support month-end close activities and reconcile key balance sheet accounts as assigned.

Billing & Commission Invoicing

• Assist with commission invoicing and internal commission billing processes.
• Support invoicing and billing activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to Payroll, Bank Reconciliations, and accounts payable oversight.
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles and internal controls.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to manage daily and monthly deadlines effectively.
