Accountant – MIS (Management Information Systems)

The Accountant – MIS is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining financial and management reports to support business decision-making. The role involves data analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, ERP system management, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management review.
  • Generate financial reports, dashboards, and performance analysis reports.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Reconcile financial records and ensure data accuracy across systems.
  • Monitor project costs, expenses, revenues, and profitability.
  • Maintain and update accounting and ERP databases.
  • Prepare management reports on cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and project performance.
  • Coordinate with various departments to collect and validate financial and operational data.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and system efficiencies.
  • Assist auditors by providing required reports and supporting documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting and MIS reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, dashboards, and reporting tools).
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in the construction, contracting, or real estate sector.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with project accounting and cost control reporting.
