Job Title: Accountant
Location: Dubai, UAE
Reporting To: Finance Manager / CFO
Role Overview
The Accountant is responsible for accurate financial reporting, compliance with UAE regulations, and day-to-day accounting operations, with the ability to handle documentation and communication in Arabic.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and monthly reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and internal controls.
- Support VAT filings, audits, and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, and external consultants.
- Prepare financial explanations and documentation in Arabic when required.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
Requirements
- Native Arabic speaker (written & spoken) – mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3–6 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- English proficiency is an advantage.
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
