Accountant (Real Estate/General Trading)

Accounting & Financial Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for both real estate and trading divisions.
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting for multiple business activities.
  • Ensure proper recording of rental income, sales transactions, and other revenue streams.

Real Estate Operations

  • Manage accounting related to property leasing, sales, and tenant deposits.
  • Handle Ejari registration, renewals, cancellations, and maintain related documentation.
  • Coordinate with property management teams for rent collections, tenancy contracts, and payment schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with RERA regulations and other real estate statutory requirements.

General Trading Activities

  • Oversee purchase and sales transactions, inventory management, and supplier payments.
  • Track cost of goods sold (COGS) and ensure accurate reporting of trading margins.
  • Manage VAT compliance (filing, reporting, and reconciliations) for trading operations.

Legal & Compliance

  • Liaise with Dubai Economic Department (DED), Municipality, and other government entities for trade license renewals and regulatory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE corporate tax, VAT, and other statutory obligations.
  • Support audits by preparing relevant schedules and documentation for external auditors.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of UAE financial regulations and legal requirements affecting real estate and trading sectors.

Administrative & Support Functions

  • Provide financial insights to management for decision-making and business growth.
  • Assist in drafting policies and procedures related to finance and compliance.
  • Coordinate with legal, HR, and operations teams for integrated business management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA certification preferred).
  • Proven experience (3–5 years) in accounting roles within real estate and general trading sectors in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax basics, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Ejari, DED processes, and related government portals.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
