Accountant - securities & derivatives trading

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts & Trading Operations Executive with strong accounting fundamentals and a solid understanding of online trading markets. The role involves financial analysis, reconciliation, reporting, and supporting trading-related operations using advanced Excel and accounting tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and perform day-to-day accounting activities
• Handle broker statements, bank reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor and support online trading activities across securities, commodities, shares, forex, arbitrage, and derivatives
• Prepare financial reports, MIS, and analytical dashboards using Microsoft Excel
• Analyze trading data and ensure compliance with internal financial controls
• Coordinate with brokers, banks, and internal teams for smooth financial operations
• Maintain records using accounting software and ensure data accuracy
• Assist in audits and regulatory reporting as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Accounting and Mathematics
• Good understanding of online trading instruments:
• Securities, Commodities, Shares, Forex
• Arbitrage & Derivatives
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reports, data analysis)
• Hands-on experience in broker statement and bank reconciliation
• Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or similar)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
• Experience in trading firms, brokerage houses, or financial institutions
