Accountant / Sr. Accountant

The General Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of financial data. The role supports the Finance Department in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and verify all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitor project-related costs and assist in budgeting and variance analysis.
• Handle payroll processing, expense tracking, and petty cash management.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist in filing returns.
• Coordinate with auditors, suppliers, and other departments to resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant UAE experience, preferably in an MEP, construction, or contracting company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, ERP).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
