Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with expertise in TDS, Payroll Management, Direct & Indirect Taxation, and GST Compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing statutory compliance, ensuring timely filings, accurate payroll processing, and handling day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- TDS & Income Tax Compliance
- Deduct, deposit, and reconcile TDS as per statutory requirements.
- Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.).
- Issue TDS certificates (Form 16, 16A) within stipulated timelines.
- Assist in income tax assessments, audits, and queries.
- Payroll Management
- Process monthly payroll including salary, incentives, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain employee records, generate payslips, and handle full & final settlements.
- GST Compliance
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9).
- Reconcile GST input credit (GSTR-2B vs books).
- Handle GST payments, notices, and queries from authorities.
- Accounting & Reporting
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure ledger accuracy.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and MIS reports.
- Assist in internal audits, statutory audits, and financial reporting.
- Regulatory & Compliance
- Stay updated with latest amendments in taxation and labor laws.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government authorities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory deadlines.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of TDS, GST, Payroll, and Direct/Indirect Taxation.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally, SAP, Zoho, or similar).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and financial reporting tools.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting (M.Com / MBA preferred).
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance.
- Prior experience in handling payroll and statutory compliance is mandatory.
