The Role

Our client is seeking a highly autonomous and analytical Accountant (Tier 2) to join our growing

finance operations team. This role is positioned between a Super Senior Accountant and a

Junior Controller, requiring deep technical ownership of the accounting function within a fast-

moving, mid-market CPG environment.

This is not a leadership position. The focus is on hands-on execution and system ownership.

We need a technical expert who does not just process transactions but understands the

underlying logic of how systems connect, how inventory impacts margins, and how to

What You’ll Do

Financial Production and Ownership

● Full-Cycle Accounting: Own the complete accounting cycle within QuickBooks Online,

ensuring the production of accurate and timely monthly financial statements.

● Balance Sheet Integrity: Manage bank feeds and reconcile all balance sheet accounts

with absolute precision.

● Clearing Account Governance: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in complex

clearing accounts, including Point-of-Sale, payroll, and bill pay integrations.

Inventory & Systems Integration

● Inventory Reconciliation: Reconcile inventory valuation reports against operational

and warehouse data (IMS tools) to ensure alignment between physical stock and

financial reporting.

● System Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve negative inventory, sync errors, or

integration mismatches from platforms like Shopify, Amazon, and A2X.

● Root Cause Analysis: Resolve discrepancies at the source. We value fixing the

underlying data or integration issue over masking problems with manual journal entries.

Process Optimization

● Workflow Standardization: Continuously improve the month-end close process by

identifying inefficiencies and building stronger reconciliation workflows.

● Technical Troubleshooting: Independently navigate complex accounting hurdles,

acting as a functional owner who can move from "chaos" to "order" without constant

supervision.

Must-Have Requirements

● Experience: 4–7+ years of accounting experience with a proven ability to produce full,

audit-ready financial statements.

● Software Mastery: Expert-level hands-on proficiency in QuickBooks Online, including

advanced bank feed and clearing account logic.

● CPG & Inventory Background: Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, food &

beverage, or inventory-heavy environments.

● Technical Toolset: Experience reconciling Shopify sales and working with tools such as

A2X, Cin7, or similar Inventory Management Systems (IMS).

● Communication: Technical capability and a growth mindset are prioritized; while

English proficiency is required, we value technical accuracy over linguistic fluency.

Technical Knowledge Deep-Dive

● Inventory & COGS Analysis: Deep understanding of how physical movement impacts

the P&L and Balance Sheet.

● Integration Logic: Understanding the "plumbing" between Shopify, A2X, and QBO.

● Troubleshooting Mindset: The ability to see an out-of-balance account as a puzzle to

be solved at the root, not a number to be adjusted.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

● Karbon Timeliness: Meeting all delivery milestones within the assigned deadlines.

● Xenett Accuracy Scores: Maintaining high data integrity and zero-defect reporting.

● Capacity Efficiency: Consistently delivering high-quality work within the budgeted

hours.
