Accountant – Turkey Operations

About the role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Turkey operations’ accounting records in the Group ERP.
  • Coordinate with the Turkey team to obtain complete and timely accounting information and supporting documents.
  • Record and review revenue, expenses, purchases, supplier invoices, receipts, payments and journal entries.
  • Reconcile the Turkish bank accounts and follow up on any outstanding differences.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile intercompany and related-party balances between the UAE and Turkey.
  • Prepare monthly Trial Balances, general ledgers, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Reconcile PMS revenue and collections with the ERP and bank deposits.
  • Review store and inventory transactions and reconcile them with the accounting records.
  • Maintain the accounting records for the properties and investments held under MRH’s name, including the related income, expenses and bank movements.
  • Coordinate with the local Turkish accountant on statutory accounting, tax filings and balance confirmations.
  • Support the opening-balance reconciliation, data migration, system testing and implementation of the new ERP, PMS and store processes.
  • Maintain complete supporting documents and escalate missing information or unreconciled balances without delay.
  • Prepare the required monthly management reports and supporting schedules.
  • The accountant will work closely with our team in Turkey, the local Turkish accountant and the UAE Finance, Operations and IT teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Three to four years of practical accounting experience.
  • Strong experience in general ledger, bank reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany reconciliation and month-end closing.
  • Good experience with ERP accounting systems.
  • Experience with PMS, inventory or store systems would be an advantage.
  • Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and lookup formulas.
  • Turkish accounting experience or familiarity with Turkish business documents would be an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with teams in different countries.
  • Well-organized, accurate and strong in follow-up and documentation.

The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the UAE Finance and Operations team and coordinate closely with the existing accounting team during the transition and ERP implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Language: Turkish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred, with good English communication skills
  • Availability: Immediate or short-notice candidates preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
