# **Job Description: Accountant – Food Distribution (Dubai)**

### **About the Role:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Accountant** to join our growing leather trading and car servicing business in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, proficiency in **Odoo Accounting Software**, and excellent skills in **Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools**. This role will also involve supporting operational tasks such as **creating purchase orders, managing sales invoices, creating products, and initiating transfers within Odoo**.

### **Key Responsibilities:**

- **Financial Management:** Maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with accounting principles.

- **Odoo Accounting:** Manage accounts payable/receivable, generate financial reports, and oversee general ledger activities within Odoo.

- **Invoicing & Purchase Orders:** Create and process **purchase orders and sales invoices** accurately.

- **Product & Inventory Management:** Assist in adding and updating product details and managing stock transfers on Odoo.

- **Bank Reconciliations & Payments:** Monitor transactions, perform bank reconciliations, and initiate necessary transfers.

- **Reporting & Analysis:** Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support business decisions.

- **Compliance & Auditing:** Ensure adherence to UAE tax regulations (VAT) and assist in audits.

- **General Administrative Support:** Assist with documentation, report generation, and streamlining financial workflows.

### **Requirements:**

- **Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field**.

- **Proficiency in Odoo Accounting Software is required**.

- **Strong Microsoft Excel skills** and familiarity with other productivity tools.

- **Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting**, preferably in a food distribution or trading company.

- **Excellent command of English (spoken and written)**.

- **Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills**.

- Ability to **work independently and collaboratively** in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
