About the Opportunity

We are a UK-based accountancy and advisory firm supporting growing businesses with compliance, tax, and financial management.

We are now building our first offshore team in Pakistan, starting with a senior-level hire who will work directly with the Director.

This is not a standard accounting role.

This is an opportunity to become the founding member of a new office, with a clear pathway into a leadership position as the team expands.

All aspects of practice have been managed solely by the director up to this point, however, with continued growth the owner would like to free up his time by handing over day-to-day responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Core Accountancy Work

• Preparation of UK statutory accounts (Ltd companies & sole traders)
• Corporation Tax (CT600) and Self-Assessment (SA100) familiarity
• VAT returns (including cash basis and standard schemes)
• Bookkeeping and reconciliations

File Preparation & Review Readiness

• Preparing complete working papers
• Drafting accounts for UK review and sign-off
• Ensuring clean and accurate financial records

Operational Support (Initial Phase)

• Supporting administrative and coordination tasks
• Assisting in setting up local operational processes
• Helping onboard and train future team members

Required Experience & Skills

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in accountancy
• Proven experience working with UK clients (essential)
• Strong understanding of UK tax basics (VAT, Corporation Tax, dividends vs salary)

Software

Hands-on experience with:

• Xero
• Quickbooks
• BrightPay
• IRIS Elements (or similar)

Communication

• Fluent written and spoken English
• Ability to communicate clearly with a UK-based team

Working Structure

• Remote working initially
• Preference for candidates based in or near Islamabad (future office plans)
