Accountant – UK & UAE Operations

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support our UK and UAE operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance requirements across both jurisdictions. This is a fully remote position based in Pakistan and offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced international business environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day accounting activities for UK and UAE entities.

* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.

* Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.

* Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

* Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

* Support VAT-related filings and compliance requirements.

* Maintain general ledger accounts and journal entries.

* Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and finance teams.

* Monitor cash flow and prepare financial summaries as required.

* Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

* Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience.

* Prior experience handling UK and/or UAE accounting functions.

* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

* Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

* Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent qualification (completed or in progress).

* Experience working with international businesses.

* Familiarity with UK VAT and UAE VAT regulations.

Compensation: PKR 150,000 per month

Work Arrangement: Full-time, Remote (Pakistan)

Pay: Rs150,000.00 per month
